Professional Eye Exam

An annual comprehensive eye exam at our Markham Optometry clinic is one of the most important eye care services we offer towards maintaining healthy eyes and preserving your vision. Our family eye doctors are committed to providing the most comprehensive medical eye exam using the latest state of the art diagnostic equipment. A comprehensive eye exam not only evaluates vision and necessity for glasses, but can also detect cataractsglaucoma, retinal disease, and systemic diseases. This includes diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

Our Markham Optometrists Dr. David Innamorato, Dr. Krista Innamorato, and Dr. Mark Innamorato are Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) Certified. They each have extensive experience in diagnoses, management, and treatment of eye infections, injury, and disease, including glaucoma and diabetes. Because many eye diseases and vision disorders do not have recognizable symptoms or pain, an annual eye exam is recommended for everyone…even those with 20/20 vision.

Email or call our Markham Eye Clinic at 905-477-4488 to book an eye exam or to learn more about our eye care services.

Optomap Retinal Exam

An Optomap Retinal Exam takes a wide angle image of the retina (back of the eye). It is used to confirm a healthy eye and to detect or monitor a number of eye conditions. An Optomap retinal exam can also assist in diagnosis of systemic health diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

The Optomap Retinal Exam is a great addition to our eye care services. The exam is quick and painless with no discomfort to the patient. We recommend this retinal examination as part of a comprehensive eye exam for the whole family.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT Scan)

As part of our professional eye care services, Unionville Optometry in Markham Ontario also offers OCT scans. Optical Coherence Tomography is a diagnostic test that takes a detailed 3D image by using rays of light to measure retinal thickness. An OCT scan is very useful with detection of sight threatening conditions that may not otherwise be visible. It is essential to the assessment and treatment of most retinal and optic nerve conditions.

Contact Lens Eye Exams

We provide comprehensive contact lens examinations and fittings to both new and existing wearers. Our Optometrists specialize in fitting contact lenses of all types including soft disposables, toric lenses, multi focal contacts, hard gas permeable lenses, and Ortho-k lenses (for Myopia/Nearsightedness). We also offer prescription and non-prescription colored contact lenses.
