East Ridge Residence | Executive Director Linda

Meet the Executive Director

Linda has a diverse background in marketing, operations, and sales across several different industries including state government and non-profits. She moved her focus to senior living when she was recruited to Community Relations at another community and has been in love with the industry ever since.

Linda was born and raised south of the Mason Dixon Line. Her journey has been long, and at times, harder than she could have ever imagined; however, she is forever grateful to her family and friends for all of their support, expecting nothing in return. She’s even more grateful for the opportunity to do the same for the residents and associates at East Ridge Residence.

Linda graduated from Southern Adventist University in 1986 and returned to the Chattanooga area in 2005, a few months after her husband passed away. Linda is a consummate volunteer and well-respected in the community, serving on the board of directors for a variety of associations. When not working or volunteering, spending time with her family brings Linda the greatest enjoyment. In December 2020, she welcomed her granddaughter Emerson into this world and forever into her heart. As an outdoor girl, hiking, gardening, and spending time in and on the water also rank high on her list of pastimes.

Resident Testimonial

Don’t take our word for it – here’s what one resident says:

"Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak as soon as you walk in. A pleasant atmosphere, you are made to feel welcome. Linda Shriver-Buckner was so nice and shows such compassion whenever she encounters a resident. She took the time to really listen to them. It is nice to see someone like Linda who really seems to care. The cafeteria is really nice and is clean and homey. Food is delicious!"

Carol Fincher

Executive Director

My name is Carol Fincher and I am grateful to have spent the last 10 years as Executive Director of East Ridge Residence in Chattanooga, TN.

When I chose a career in senior living from the hospitality industry, I knew I made the perfect choice. I love the sense of family and community between residents and my East Ridge Residence team – the loving, caring spirit of our culture and community is an opportunity to make the day even more brighter for our residents.

Previously, I worked for the city of Chattanooga by developing a volunteer program for the Head Start organization, which helps disadvantaged or special needs children. When I am not serving our seniors, I love to take wildlife photography and spend time with my husband, children and grandchildren.

I’d love to show you how East Ridge Residence can be your new home and community, or a loved one’s. Please feel free to schedule a tour with us soon!
